According to WPVI, 63-year-old Mark Nugent of Broomall, Pennsylvania was arrested after a family discovered "10 or 12" meatballs filled with "8 to 9" pellets of rat poison in their yard.

The boy stopped the dog from eating the meatball, which was filled with rodent poison pellets, police said. Police said they found 10 meatballs filled with poison when they arrived at the home.
