Randy Orton is throwing his name into the mix for James Gunn’s DCU Batman, hinting at interest in taking on the iconic role in the upcoming reboot — especially as Gunn’s Superman gains early momentum.

Gunn’s major innovation here is dropping in on Superman (David Corenswet) decades into his life on Earth, and a few years into his stint as the protector of Metropolis, that great city so often beset with otherworldly disasters.

Writer/director/studio head James Gunn previously explained how Superman and Peacemaker connect in a particular way. Superman, the first film in a new rebooted era for the DC superhero franchise, flew into theaters this weekend.
