More than 200 people gathered behind at Boyertown Area Historical Society to count down the bear drop at 6 p.m. (midnight in Germany).

Two orphaned bear cubs from the Bent Tree community have been safely relocated to the Chestatee Wildlife Preserve in Dahlonega after their mother was illegally shot by a resident.

A bear took matters into its own paws when it saw that a flag was caught on a tree.
