PetSmart is recalling a strip light fixture for reptile cages due to a fire hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
PetSmart has recalled about 23,000 strip lights for reptile cages after reports of fires.
PetSmart recalled 23,000 All Living Things strip lights for pet reptile cages. Some of the strip lights, which are supposed to simulate daylight, have ignited.
That’s according to a $10,000 lawsuit Bray filed this week against PetSmart, the store that Bray says recommended and sold her the cage and her chinchilla last fall.
This recall involves 20 inch and 30 inch All Living Things reptile strip light fixtures. These light fixtures simulate natural daylight and are attached to the top of the reptile's terrarium.
