Around 6pm, the storm hit bringing with it strong wind, hail and heavy rainfall which uprooted trees and ripped the roofs from homes.
The National Weather Service has confirmed at least four tornadoes touched down across Alabama late Saturday night.
On Sunday at 11:05 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 11:30 a.m.
