Each day of our region’s short and mild winter is a little treasure to be invested for maximum return. A good place to invest it is in the Rock Spring Loop Trail on the Mojave National Preserve.

At 7:50 p.m., CSPD issued a traffic advisory stating Spring Loop and Summer Court were both closed as crews worked to clear the debris and wreckage.

One you might try is the Rock Spring Loop, which boasts a historic stone house, the site of a 19th-century Army post, a natural spring and American Indian petroglyphs.

Officers were in the Spring Loop area looking for 19-year-old Demontreyon Demon Jackson. According to CSPD, they located Jackson hiding in a dumpster in the 800 block of Spring Loop.

The Spring Creek Loop Trail is a 3.6-mile loop trail that offers scenic views of Spring Creek, Sheridan Lake and ends at the upper section of the historic Flue Trail.

The Bi-State Development Agency, which took over operations this year from the nonprofit Loop Trolley Co. at the request of local elected officials, expects to resume the 2.2-mile line in the spring.
