Police were called at approximately 1.20am to reports that a man was found to have sustained a serious head injury outside of Tam Tam Café Bar after being assaulted.

Witnesses described seeing a heavy police presence outside the Tam Tam bar in Anlaby Road at around 2am. A cordon remained in place when this picture was taken at 9.30am.
