Update 8:32 a.m.: Students, teachers and staff at Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond got the all clear to re-enter the school after being evacuated Tuesday morning because of a bomb threat.

The Allentown School District Board of Directors approved the hiring of Geoffrey Schmidt as the high school's new principal at its Thursday meeting.
