The three buildings took just 40 days to build. After an earthquake rocked the city of L’Aquila, Italy, in 2009, Ban helped rebuild the concert hall of the Alfredo Cassela music conservatory.

The first tube structure designed by the pair was the Dewitt Chestnut Apartments. We also misrepresented the year when Jerry Wolman approached SOM. That year was 1964.
