The Old Shillelagh iconic Irish pub in Greektown is adding a walk-up window that will open at 8 a.m. and feature breakfast bowls and smoothies.

First, you need a shillelagh. “It is a piece of briar wood that is harder than heck,” Klose says. Next comes the fancy stuff. They use a 3D printer, making this process even faster.

Turns out the TSA won’t let you bring a shillelagh — a wooden Irish walking stick that can double as a handy club or cudgel — on board a plane in your carry-on.

So we had to Google what, exactly, a shillelagh is, but we know that anything that’s made with the intent to bludgeon someone else is not allowed as a carry-on item.
