Monday marks the end of astronomical summer in the Northern Hemisphere. At 10:29 p.m., the sun can be seen directly overhead on the equator in the western Pacific.
The Spring Equinox, also known as the Vernal Equinox, will arrive on Mar. 20 at 5:58 p.m. ET in the Northern Hemisphere in 2019 — and in general, it can occur anytime between March 19 and March 21.
