Garrett WIlson is the first wide receiver in NFL history to earn an extension worth more than $31 million a year this early into his career.

This was the logical next step after Schefter reported on April 21 that the Jets picked up Wilson's $16.8 million fifth-year option on his rookie deal for the 2026 campaign. They also did so with cornerback Sauce Gardner ($20.1 million) and defensive end Jermaine Johnson ($13.4 million), who, along with Wilson, were 2022 first-round draft picks.

The New York Jets and wide receiver Garrett Wilson have agreed on a four-year, $130 million contract extension.
