The Las Vegas Raiders are the latest NFL team with a head coaching vacancy after the franchise fired Antonio Pierce on Tuesday. Pierce only got one season in the official role, and he was plagued with quarterback issues throughout the year. However, he’s now gone, and Las Vegas will work to find his successor.

As the end of the 2023 NFL season drew near, the Las Vegas Raiders fired Josh McDaniels and promoted defensive coordinator Antonio Pierce to fill the role. But it was only supposed to be on an interim basis.

The Las Vegas Raiders have fired head coach Antonio Pierce after a 4-13 season. Pierce was let go after his first full season in the job, after taking interim charge at the end of the 2023 season. The Raiders were 2-2 to start the campaign but then lost 10 in a row before beating the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New Orleans Saints.
