Scott Turner has been confirmed as the secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Turner, a former NFL player and Texas representative, was confirmed by the Senate on Wednesday in an 55-44 vote.

The U.S. Senate on Wednesday confirmed Scott Turner, a former NFL player and past Texas state representative, as secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

While Turner called HUD a "failure," he failed to tell Senate the ways he plans to combat issues including lack of affordadble housing.
