A Tucson Sector Border Patrol agent has been indicted on 24 felony charges, the latest in a series of sexual-misconduct convictions or charges against CBP employees in Arizona.
"They seem to believe that communicating that they are rounding people up, has political upside for them," said a communication and political science professor.
The operation appears to directly violate a court injunction issued in April to require warrants by Border Patrol, according to two law professors.
