TORONTO - Hudbay Minerals says it has restarted its Snow Lake operations in northwestern Manitoba after authorities lifted wildfire evacuation orders for the area.

By Adriano Marchese Hudbay Minerals resumed operations in Manitoba about two weeks after wildfires forced authorities issue evacuation orders in the area.

Hudbay’s operating portfolio includes the Constancia mine in Cusco (Peru), the Snow Lake operations in Manitoba (Canada) and the Copper Mountain mine in British Columbia (Canada).

Canada’s Hudbay Minerals said on Monday it has resumed operations at its Snow Lake mining site in Manitoba following the lifting of evacuation orders in the region.
