In Gotham Knights, the story of the eponymous city dates back over 400 years, and links intimately to the mysterious, Illuminati-like Court of Owls, which seemingly controls Gotham from the shadows.

All of these ideas became part of that conversation and allowed us to build layers of created history. And we built it up and we built it down. Like we said, ‘Okay, what’s buried under the city?
