About 70% of turtles' attempts to nest were thwarted on a touristy half-mile stretch of Vero Beach since June 1.

Martin County Fire Rescue and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission rescued a 200-pound sea turtle stuck on House of Refuge Beach in Martin County Wednesday morning.
