Its prized wisteria tree has been referred to as the most beautiful tree in the whole world and stands as the largest and oldest tree in Japan.

The world's largest wisteria plant, certified by the Guinness Book of World Records, will be open to the public on Sunday, March 16 in Sierra Madre.

Wisteria can climb as high as 66 feet above the ground and spread 33 feet across. The world’s largest wisteria, planted in 1894, is in Sierra Madre, California.
