Just when it looked like Manchester City’s underwhelming season was turning a corner, the team suffered another humiliating defeat, this time at the hands of Premier League rival Arsenal.

Aside from needle surrounding Haaland, Gabriel and Arteta, this was the first time Arsenal have scored five against City since February 2003, and a fourth league game unbeaten for them against Guardiola’s side, after a run of 12 consecutive head-to-head defeats in the top flight.

Manchester United have completed the signing of Patrick Dorgu from Lecce. The Athletic reported on January 29 that the clubs had reached a broad agreement over a transfer valued at €30million (£25.2m) plus €5m (£4.2m) in add-ons for the Denmark international.

Patrick Dorgu is confident Ruben Amorim ’s style of play will suit him at Manchester United. The Denmark wing-back completed a £25million move from Italian club Lecce, signing a five-and-a-half year deal at Old Trafford.
