The Carroll County school board in Maryland will consider a new flag policy on political symbols that could ban items like the rainbow Pride flag in public school classrooms.

Because people from Maryland believe the Maryland state flag should be featured on all pamphlets, posters, items of clothing, marketing materials, food units, and architectural surfaces.

This Flag Day, Marylanders are reminded that American, Maryland and POW/MIA flags are exempt from Maryland’s 6 percent sales tax.
