Nintendo is caught between its eight-year-old Switch console and the next-gen Switch 2 — a purgatory that usually hits sales.

At 150 million units sold, the Switch is close to overtaking the DS as Nintendo’s best-selling console.

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa said in an interview with Japanese newspaper The Sankei Shimbun that the company will continue to support the Nintendo Switch even after its successor is released.
