Artists are transforming a once-barren wall in Scranton with a mural depicting Lackawanna County's Native American roots.

The Pawnee Scouts were a cavalry outfit whose mission it was to accompany Army expeditions looking for hostiles. Their specific job was to find the Indians so the Army could fight and subdue them.
