Painting plug sockets, improperly applying filler, and skipping prep work could all result in safety risks like electrical shocks or fires, as well as poor-quality finishes, according to experts.

The Joseph F. Glidden Homestead and Historical Center used DeKalb’s Paint-A-Plug program to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Glidden’s invention of “The Winner” barbed wire.
