Thirty years ago, the New York Golden Gloves allowed women to enter its tournament for the first time. On July 11, Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor will headline the first all-female boxing card at Madison Square Garden.
According to figures from VideoAmp and internal Netflix data, the Friday night bout — a majority decision win for Taylor — drew a worldwide audience of 6 million viewers from opening to closing bell. About 70 percent of that audience, or 4.2 million viewers, came from the United States.
