The Fighting Irish have played two opponents more than once without posting a victory, including the Bulldogs.

Notre Dame made history by defeating Indiana and collecting its first CFP win for the university and its recently extended head coach Marcus Freeman. While this is a great accomplishment, nobody in Notre Dame land is satisfied, everybody wants more, as they all should.

The stakes won't be quite as high on Wednesday night when No. 2 Georgia (11-2, CFP No. 2 seed) and No. 3 Notre Dame (11-1, CFP No. 5 seed) meet in the same storied bowl, but it's still pretty big.
