Philadelphia police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Port Richmond. He was discovered on Salmon Street near East Monmouth early Tuesday morning.

Officers from the 24th District responded at approximately 1:37 a.m. to reports of a person with a gun in the area of Salmon and Monmouth Streets. Upon arrival, officers found the man lying unresponsive in the roadway in front of the 2900 block of Salmon Street.
