USA Baseball announced the decision before Cal Raleigh participated in the All-Star Home Run Derby. The 28-year-old entered the All-Star break leading the major leagues with 38 homers and 82 RBIs.

Another superstar has signed up for Team USA in the 2026 World Baseball Classic. Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh, who's already hit an incredible 38 home runs this season, will join Yankees slugger Aaron Judge, Royals star Bobby Witt Jr., and Pirates ace Paul Skenes on Team USA. Raleigh's announcement was made Tuesday.

Seattle Mariners star Cal Raleigh had his father Todd pitch to him at the event, while his 15-year-old brother Todd Jr. played catcher.

Eight sluggers squared off in the annual MLB Home Run Derby on Monday, July 14, 2025, and Cal Raleigh beat Junior Caminero to win it all.
