Feb 13, 2016 · If you were going to get a Peacemaker but you couldn't afford a COLT, what would you get? I've wanted a "Cowboy" gun for a while, but the prices of the COLT's put them out of reach. I believe they are close to $1,500 now. For a while I was set on getting a USFA, but since they no longer make them the prices on them have risen to COLT levels.

Mar 11, 2023 · my more recent guns ( a5.5” 45 ACP-no that is not a misprint, a custom shop gun- 2 5.5” 357’s and my current 7.5” 45 colt) are all dead on. the 7.5 can shoot as tight a group at fifty feet as my match tuned les Baer did ( sold it some years ago)

Nov 24, 2022 · I own three Colt SAA’s .357, .45 ACP and a .45 Long Colt. I had this conversation with Tim Looney from Colt at the Houston NRA Show earlier this year. I learned several things, the SAA is hard to manufacture, labor intensive. They have limited production capacity to maintain quality in these guns. They no longer produce any caliber except .45LC.

Feb 18, 2015 · These came about when Colt was dealing with worker strikes in the mid 80s and didn't have the man power for all of their usual finishing work. Part of their solution was to offer the parkerized Peacekeeper and Agent, they're a little rough on the outside but inside they're put together just like the rest of the Colt revolver line was.

Mar 4, 2025 · Kinda like a cross between a Model 10 and a Model 19. I ain't much for Colt revolvers, but this one don't look half bad. Can be had for around $850. Don't much like the billboard on the barrel. Discuss.

Jan 25, 2025 · Picked up this Colt at a local pawn shop. Serial number dates it to 1917. The safety, mag release, hammer, grip safety are correct. That is About it. Grips , sights, slide stop, barrel all have been changed. Slide has had ejection port modified. Would it be worth putting original sights, barrel and slide stop back in it ?
