Lake of the Woods is a small lake that can be quite popular especially on weekends. There are approximately 15 camping spots with fire pits and picnic tables situated along the shoreline. There is no piped water available.

The Lake of the Woods Trail #506 serves as a connecting route between Highway 65 near the Griffith Reservoirs to Cottonwood Reservoir #1. The trail for almost its entire distance travels at a level grade with occasional slight up and downhill grades through mixed spruce/fir and open meadows and marshy areas.

This scenic campground is located on the northeast shore of Lake of the Woods. It features 58 camp sites with a camp host. Within the total campsites, 50 are RV sites, eight double campsites, seven tent only campsites, and one group site.

This 2.5 mile trail leads from the lower Woods Lake parking area, and traverses open forest and meadow areas with impressive wildflower displays in mid-summer.
