RI 1332 was the last GP9 delivered to Rock Island in April 1959. The crew climbs on board and soon RI 1332 will lead this matching set of red and yellow units out of the engine facility.

Rock Island 1329 was built as a GP9 in April 1959 as serial number 25219, but was reportedly wrecked after only a short time on the railroad. It was rebuilt by EMD in November 1960, emerging with GP18-style radiator shutters and a new serial number 26348.
